An 18V 3.0Ah (54Wh) lithium-ion battery for Makita's LXT 18V/36V cordless system; the 36V tools in this range simply run on two 18V batteries at once. A 4-segment LED gauge on the pack shows how much charge is left, high-capacity cells keep the weight to about 0.6 kg, and a large release button makes swaps quick. Vents and a housing designed to absorb knocks and keep dust out help protect the cells. It charges on the DC18RC, DC18SD, DC18RD, DC18SE and DC18RE, and comes boxed as a single battery with a manual; charger not included.
